Who We Are

AMAL Analytical Pty Ltd (AMAL) was established in 1987 in country Victoria specialising in Residue testing for the export meat industry. In the early nineties AMAL moved to Melbourne, Australia and expanded into Occupational Hygiene testing, Site Contamination investigations, servicing the Organic Food industry and laboratory testing. AMAL moved to a custom built laboratory in 2015 in Huntingdale, Melbourne, Victoria that utilises leading edge equipment to guarantee our clients the Highest Quality in analytical testing results.

AMAL prides itself on strong customer service and analytical results of the utmost quality and reliability during our laboratory testing. As such our laboratory has been fully accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) for over 25 years (Accreditation Number: 2431), with a well established Quality System and regular external auditing to ensure the best results for our clients.

mg/kg – milligrams per kilogram (or parts per million) is the expression used for how much contaminant is present in a precise volume of sample

ppm – part per million

LOR – level of reporting; a number that is the sum calculation of how sensitive the labs equipment is, the method used during the test procedure and the complexity of the sample. The laboratory is not confident of reporting values below the LOR

MRL – maximum residue level; the maximum level of a residue permitted by a statutory body
